Essential Job Functions:Must have hands on experience with Cisco routers and switches.Must have CCNA, CCIE is a big plus. Must have Team Lead experience in directing engineers and managing team's workload.Must have mentoring abiltiesMust be able to develop and own client supporting technology roadmap for both voice and data networking. Experienced in direct faceoff with client as a technology partner. Generates conceptual, logical, and physical network architectures, documents, testing analyses, test plans, and risk assessments to ensure sound architecture meeting client needs. Assists in leading a team that analyzes, designs, troubleshoots, and implements network architecture in order to best meet client requirements; leverages resources from different teams to ensure that customer needs are met. Troubleshoots the most complex data or voice network and hardware problems; researches and analyzes significant, complex network problems that require evaluation of intangibles, such as downstream effects on client satisfaction; assesses and evaluates current and future systems. Determines methods and procedures to be implemented and used on the most complex new technologies to enhance performance. Determines approach for customer, based on assessment of customer needs. Assists in leading major proposal efforts and creating strategies to win business in new markets or current accounts. Researches technological advancements to ensure that voice and data networking solutions are continuously improved, supported, and aligned with industry and company standards. Evaluates complex data or voice networking technologies to understand their potential and recommends future direction. Evaluates cost analyses and vendor comparisons for large scale projects to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations, and measures feasibility of various approaches. Ensures adherence to model created and overall budgetary guidelines. Recommends complex investment decisions to management and customers based on results of independent assessment of current and future data or voice network performance, stability, and network management issues.Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Master's degree in computer science, management information systems or related field preferred.
